Korie Edwards
Dr. Korie Little Edwards is Professor of Sociology at The Ohio State University and Editor in Chief for the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion. She is a leading scholar of race and religion and has written several books and articles on multiracial religious organizations, including The Elusive Dream: The Power of Race in Interracial Churches. Her most recent scholarship focuses on race and religious leadership. Her book, Smart Suits, Tattered Boots: Black Ministers Mobilizing the Black Church in the Twenty-First Century, examines contemporary black religious leaders’ civic and political participation and mobilization. Her forthcoming book Estranged Pioneers: Race, Faith and Leadership in a Diverse World draws upon the most in-depth, comprehensive project ever conducted on pastors of multiracial congregations. Little Edwards is also the co-host of The Elusive Dream Podcast.
