
Genalin Niere-Metcalf
Dr. Genalin Niere-Metcalf (Psy.D.) has lived in the constant beauty and complexity of a diverse homelife, church family and community. She is a Filipina-Chinese-American who immigrated to the United States at the age of 5 years old. Growing up in the church, Genalin developed a deep love for God and His people, fueling her passion to pursue a Masters in Spiritual Formation & Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College. She has specialized training in integrating psychology, religion and spirituality from the Danielsen Institute at Boston University. Genalin especially feels called to support clergy and church leaders in helping them become spiritual and emotional healthy leaders. She has seen the overflowing blessing that comes when church leaders are not just spiritually equipped but also emotionally intelligent. She works in the Chicago area as a clinical psychologist, spiritual director and does clergy and church consultation. Genalin is married with two children and they enjoy traveling to see God’s beauty in all people and places.
